27 Memes That Don't Attempt Perfection

Nothing and nobody that can be found on this Earth is perfect. No matter how hard we try, perfection is largely unattainable, and flaws remain a fact of life for all of us. That is not to say that we can't work on them and improve them, but they are always likely to be there in some capacity. Because of this, it's important to be understanding when someone or something falls short of our expectations, or of what we might imagine in an ideal world. Memes often play with this idea: while they can be judgmental, they also give us a space to express feelings of inadequacy that we might otherwise keep to ourselves. Even if not every meme turns out exactly how we want, that's reason enough to approach them with an open mind and to recognize that we can find a broader perspective in these small, seemingly insignificant things. At this time of year, when we are liable to be trying and failing some new attempt at self-improvement, it is more important than ever to let the imperfections often described in memes into our lives. They are a humorous reminder of reality that (mostly) isn't too depressing.
